Education

The society had run various type of skill development /job oriented courses through a community college in the name of IGNOU –HIMITET Community College being registered with Indira Gandhi National open University vide No.- CHI-7201. The results of all the students have been published and grade card / provisional certificate have been delivered.original certificate is yet to be received from IGNOU. The society had also run a special study centre (CLLC) of IGNOU vide No.- 28135 and was permitted to run B.A (all subjects,) M.A English, MSW etc.

The society also runs a primary school in the name of Reverend Karey Nursery School with primary section, English Medium, CBSE Curriculum from 2013 with NOC of Govt. of West Bengal. With UDISE Code 19203002303. The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), Govt. of India.has extended its affiliation under OBE program upto class-VIII to Hadia Institute of Management IT & Educational Training.

Training

  • W.B.S.C.T & V.E& S.D, Erstwhile West Bengal State Council of Technical education affiliated few certificate courses of 6 months duration and 12 months duration on computer vide no.- __SC(T)E_,300 students were trained up during the years.
  • The society acted as VTP being affiliated by Director of Industries, Govt. of West Bengal vide no.- _st201/st(mes)2011/4780(1) dt.-2012 under NCVT (MES) for various courses the following sectors (i) Automotive (ii) Construction (iii) ICT (iv) Electrical (v) Garment Making (vi) Medical & Nursing (vii) Food Processing & Preservation (viii) Business & Commerce.

    In West Bengal ,Govt. has not yet started the function of NCVT (MES) in 2015-16. In 2016-17 (MES) further may be started. During last 3 yrs. the society had trained up 1788students under various courses and certificate issued by NCVT has been distributed.

    Assessing Body for assessment were appointed by DGE&T and they sent their assessor for assessment whom we are not related at all. They are third party assessor acting as per their own norms against assessment fee of Rs. 800/- in general and Rs. 600/- for Sc, St & Women students.
  • The society has been selected by NSDC as Direct Training Partner under PMKVY through Healthcare sector skill council and provided training the batches of general duty assistant AND Medical Laboratory Assistant.
  • The society is also providing training under National Digital Literacy Mission, Govt. of India as per their norms and above 200 students have been trained up.
  • Soft skill training – above 260 students have been imparted Training on soft skill and personality development during last year.

The society has been selected as VTP under PaschimBanga Society for skill development (PBSSD) for the following courses

  • Self employed Tailor
  • ZigZag Embroidery Operation.
  • Medical & Nursing

HIMITET organised no. of programme for formation of self help groups in surrounding villages under gram Panchayet and in slum area of Midnapore Municipality and have formed more than 300 self help groups during last 3 years. The society not only formed the SHG, but they arranged for training of the members for linking with bank providing back- ward forward linkageand credit linkage, nurturing of groups etc. Bangiya GraminVikash Bank has helped us whole heartedly for which we convey thanks to them.
Passed out candidates of electrical, Tailoring, Beauty & wellness sector, who are interested to be self employed and who are not interested to go outside area of his own, are given entrepreneurial development training so that they may start their own business, More than 150 units have been started by our students who were provided entrepreneurial development training keeping close liaison with District industries centre and district level chamber of commerce.
NSDC made compulsory 100 hours soft skill with any jobrole of PBSSD but in phase- III it was waived. But we are imparting soft skill to each and every trainee to make them competitive in competition market. During last 3 years we have provided soft skill to 500 students and continuing this training.
successful trainee who wants to be engaged as wage earner is given on- the- job training at nearby factory/ workshop/ company/ industry etc. after proper training on personality development. Industry exposure is compulsory who wants to be wage earner. Not only that we have arranged for tracking to each new entrant in a company for a period of 12 months. Effective monitoring system in this respect has been made compulsory.
For personality development we have engaged retired Govt. gazetted officer, retired principal, big basses of private company etc, as guest faculty members so that our successful students may enhance their personality. Before facing any interview board, this training make the students confidant which is essential for an interviewing candidate. That’s why percentage of selection of our candidates are above 70%.as per report of our placement cell
